Takaya Sato’s love for floral design began over twenty years ago while training as a designer at his father’s flowers and events
shop in Japan.
Takaya has been designing for international New York City-based companies most elite events. He has been Creative Director at L’Atelier Rouge, a floral & event design company in New York City, as well as at Buunch NYC-Hampton and T.I.C a Restaurant group Co. where he designed weekly interior flowers arrangements. Concurrently, he is Master florist at The NYC Flower School.
Takaya has been widely published in illustrious magazines, such as New York Time, Elle Décor, New York Weddings, Knot and many more. And most recently he has been featured in the worldwide flower designer collection book “FLOWERS” published from Assouline.
Takaya is deeply in love with his family, loves Beauty, Art and Wabisabi.

Meet Katia, a dynamic Italian designer born and raised in the lovely city of Venice, Italy. Her journey into the world of design began in Milan, where she moved to pursue a degree in Art Direction. While designing for high-end brands, she never stopped cultivating her passion for beautiful flowers. After a while, she decided to shift her attention just to flowers and interior decoration. She then studied at a prestigious Italian flower school proceeded to her career as an assistant floral decorator for high-end Italian Luxury Event design companies in Milan.
As she discovered her passion for high-end floral décor, Katia decided to expand her knowledge internationally. In 2009, she made the leap across the Atlantic, arriving in New York City, where she worked as a Head Floral Designer for several prestigious firms. Her expertise in floral design and eye for detail propelled her to success in the bustling metropolis, and it wasn't long before she met Takaya Sato, being captivated by his skills and high talent, ending up working together for several brands independently.
In 2018, Katia ventured into entrepreneurship, establishing herself as a self-employed decorator specializing in luxury experiences for small-scale projects in NYC. Her unique skill set, drawing from her background in floral design and interior décor, sets her apart in the industry, bringing a wealth of knowledge and love for European, especially Italian culture.
Katia embodies creativity, passion, and the art of design. With her roots in Italian culture and her experience in the vibrant NYC, in 2022 Katia moved to the enchanting Charleston and with Takaya Sato opened their long dreamed Floral and Decor Boutique, ready to bring all their passion, culture, and love for the beauty of high-end design to your attention.
Katia cherishes time with her family and indulges in her passions for travel, food, connecting with nature, and friends whenever she can.
